TEACHING & STUDY AT CROSSPOINT

“To grow in our faith in Jesus Christ, and exemplify it with our lives”.

Here is what we teach

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

Trinity

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Father

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

The Son

Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Eternity

Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in fellowship with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in fellowship with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Mankind

Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

Salvation

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

The Church

The Church is a body of baptized believers joined through faith in Jesus Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

COMMUNITY MINDED

We believe that much life-change happens in community and this includes discipleship, vulnerability, and accountability.

GROW DAILY

We believe that Christ followers should exemplify and yearn for continuous growth through daily prayer, daily scripture reading, and daily application of God’s Word in every area of life.

MISSION FOCUSED

To serve both the saved and the lost and show them the way of Christ through a variety of relevant ways that reach the community at large.

CHRIST CENTERED

Our entire being is centered around the person and work of Jesus Christ!
He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together. ” -Col 1:17.

Who is like our God? No one! We seek to honor and glorify our one and only Savior, Jesus Christ

OUR CULTURE

Worship
“Sing a new song to the LORD; sing to the LORD, all the earth”. -Psalm 96:1

We love the command to worship in Spirit and in Truth, and we love to sing a new song!  We desire to create an environment of freedom in worship, and our gatherings are made up of contemporary Praise and Worship songs and hymns that are biblically sound.

What to Wear?
Most of us wear jeans and tee shirts, while others wear ties or tattoos. We do not care! We care more about what’s on the inside that what’s on the outside!

Growing Together

We value the intimacy and friendships that are developed by sharing time with each other outside of corporate worship. Each week we offer multiple Community Groups to connect with others through food, fellowship, worship, prayer, and the Word.

We Welcome All!

We desire to be a multi-generational,  multi-cultural church that spans age and race and welcome you to come and be a part of what God is doing in our community. We currently offer childcare from birth through Kindergarten at our weekly gatherings each Sunday.

CONNECT WITH US!

Community Groups- Big church made personal
We believe that serving both the saved and the lost is one of the greatest expressions of worship. We invite you to connect with us at CrossPoint so that you too can find your place in our community, in Christ.
We are taking what we hope to be a short hiatus from our in-home community groups until we feel it is safe to continue with our community Groups. We hope you will join us for our Worship Services Sunday mornings at 10:30.

Giving

The message of the Gospel is free, and freely given! Yet the tools that are used and the generosity of our people has a cost. Giving to CrossPoint Community Church means giving toward Kingdom Work being done not only in Waycross, but even globally. We greatly appreciate your sacrificial giving toward ministries that are based here in our community that no doubt have a greater effect around the world.
