Welcome To CrossPoint Community Church

“To grow in our faith in Jesus Christ, and exemplify it with our lives”.
Here is what we teach

The Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to all people. It was written under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is completely relevant to our daily lives.

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He exists as one substance in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Although each member of the Trinity serves different functions, they each possess equal power and authority.

The Father

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

The Son

Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in fellowship with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in fellowship with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation. Man was created to have fellowship with God but became separated in that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man cannot attain a right relationship with God through his own effort. Every human personality is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love.

The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

The Church

The Church is a body of baptized believers joined through faith in Jesus Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

    Your Message

To “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. ” To give our everything to God! (Luke 10:27)

We believe that much life-change happens in community and this includes discipleship, vulnerability, and accountability.

We believe that Christ followers should exemplify and yearn for continuous growth through daily prayer, daily scripture reading, and daily application of God’s Word in every area of life.

To serve both the saved and the lost and show them the way of Christ through a variety of relevant ways that reach the community at large.

Our entire being is centered around the person and work of Jesus Christ!
He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together. ” -Col 1:17.
Who is like our God? No one! We seek to honor and glorify our one and only Savior, Jesus Christ

“Sing a new song to the LORD; sing to the LORD, all the earth”. -Psalm 96:1
We love the command to worship in Spirit and in Truth, and we love to sing a new song!  We desire to create an environment of freedom in worship, and our gatherings are made up of contemporary Praise and Worship songs and hymns that are biblically sound.
    What to Wear?
Most of us wear jeans and tee shirts, while others wear ties or tattoos. We do not care! We care more about what’s on the inside that what’s on the outside!
    Growing Together
We value the intimacy and friendships that are developed by sharing time with each other outside of corporate worship. Each week we offer multiple Community Groups to connect with others through food, fellowship, worship, prayer, and the Word.
    We Welcome All!
We desire to be a multi-generational,  multi-cultural church that spans age and race and welcome you to come and be a part of what God is doing in our community. We currently offer childcare from birth through Kindergarten at our weekly gatherings each Sunday.

    Lead Pastor
    Kevin Barclift
Kevin has served in various ministries throughout his life both before and after graduating from seminary and brings a heart for discipleship. After a season of growth and renewal, Kevin has been given the vision to plant a new church in the Waycross area with a strong emphasis on disciple-making, worship, and reaching the lost for Waycross and beyond. Kevin is married to his wife Cori and they have three children.
    Children’s Ministry
Children are a gift from God! We value and cherish the opportunity to pour into children the very life-giving Word of God on a level that will help them grow.
Age-appropriate curriculum is provided to our children and for those that are babies, you can rest assured we have loving folks to care for them too!

    Student’s Ministry
Students have a unique position in life where all sorts of change and growth is happening around them all the time, and being connected to a church family is critical at this time of life.
Using the Bible as our source of life and guidance, our Student Ministry seeks to take important spiritual lessons and make them relevant to a generation that is under constant attack by the secular world, to inspire them to living a Godly lifestyle, and to be a light to their peers.
    Adult Discipleship
Discipleship is the heartbeat of CrossPoint. Sunday mornings are an excellent time for the body of believers to be edified by the preaching, teaching and singing of the Word. We gather together as smaller groups (called Community Groups) that place an emphasis on a more focused time of fellowship, prayer, and study apart from corporate worship.
These times and locations can be found on our Connect page.
     Our current Community Group Leaders:
    Kevin Barclift
Making both Friends and Family feel welcome alike, our Hospitality Team strives to give the best experience for those at CrossPoint from the time they walk in the door until they leave. Whether offering a friendly welcome on the way in to our worship gatherings or relaxing with a cup of coffee or light snack, we want folks to feel at home.
    Community Outreach
We desire to connect with our community by going outside the proverbial “four walls” and working with our different neighborhoods and city to help them Know and Grow in Christ! We seek to meet the needs of transients by way of Red Bag, a unique ministry that seeks to engage with the many folks that come and go through our city on foot because of it being a major converging point of both rail and highway traffic
Where We Gather For Corporate Worship

We gather each and every Sunday morning at 1030AM for worship at 224 E Waring Street  in Waycross

The message of the Gospel is free, and freely given! Yet the tools that are used and the generosity of our people has a cost. Giving to CrossPoint Community Church means giving toward Kingdom Work being done not only in Waycross, but even globally. We greatly appreciate your sacrificial giving toward ministries that are based here in our community that no doubt have a greater effect around the world.
